Catherine Traywick

Catherine is a multimedia reporter based in Washington, D.C. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, TIME, the Washington Post, Foreign Policy, Ms. magazine, and others. She grew up in the Philippines and in the United States and her reporting interests reflect her transnational background: She has reported on literary censorship in Myanmar, the illicit ivory trade in Hong Kong, gold mining in the Philippines, and U.S. foreign policy from Washington, D.C.

She holds a master’s degree from U.C. Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism, where she specialized in multimedia and investigative reporting, and is currently a fellow at Foreign Policy magazine.
